People who are already employed and committed as a full-time EFL or ESL teacher obviously do not have the time to join our full-time TEFL Course!

Nonetheless, if you have teaching experience already (however desperately in need you may be of professional training and a valid paper qualification), you should be able, if diligent, to study at home at your own pace and complete a TEFL Course qualification within an average period of about three-to-four months. The fees for this course are EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE, though there must be some simple rules and caveats, as described below.

Your study procedure will vary somewhat depending on whether you are now teaching in Thailand or abroad. In either case, you must currently be teaching either ESL or EFL students only, and must have had at least six months of verifiable full-time experience. (Teaching any other types of English classes does not count!)

Here are the rules and procedures. The TEFL Certificate Home Study Course involves receiving (by Express Mail Service, if you are abroad) the six course books and Pronunciation CD that we normally provide trainees, and studying through them; doing all Home Comprehension Exams; and completing each (short) Module Exam at home, in each case forwarding your work to your Thailand enrolling location by whatever means best suits your convenience. Our professional trainers will grade each assignment, and provide helpful instruction and advice about your work in the case of each submission.

After successfully completing all homework assignments, you must then teach real EFL students at a school (our own, generally, if you are in Thailand) for a total of six hours under the observation of trained teachers who will rate your performance. Finally, you will need to take a written Course Final Exam in the presence of an examiner.

DON'T WORRY! If you are abroad, we will assist you to arrange with your employing school to help you meet this requirement, provided only that they are willing, as they should be! After all of this, your teaching performance ratings and your Course Final Exam and other performance scores will be compiled into a final course grade and printed onto our usual Thailand Ministry of Education numbered certificate form and signed by our Academy Director, our Principal, and your 'Distance Trainer'. This is a fully legal and accredited document which can be used anywhere in the world to gain employment. Of course, if you are in Thailand, we will present your certificate to you in person, along with your course performance evaluation and course description documents. With the procedure just described, you can be sure of receiving the best TEFL Course training available anywhere in the world!

To join our course, you must submit enrollment information and a payment form. All fees are expressed in U.S. Dollars. The base fee for the Home Study TEFL Certificate Course is $759.00 (25,000 Thai baht) plus $75.00 (2,500 baht) for course materials and end-of-course documents. There is no shipping charge if you pick up the course materials at one of our Thailand Academy locations. If you live abroad, however, the fee for shipment of the materials to your home is an additional U.S. $100.00. Likewise, If you reside in Thailand and cannot pick up the materials at one of our locations, a shipping charge of U.S. $50.00 (1,700 baht) will be added.

Your full enrollment fee, therefore, is $834.00 ($759.00 base course fee + $75.00 for materials and end-of-course documents), plus the relevant shipping charge, if any.
