People who are already employed and committed as a full-time EFL or ESL teacher obviously do not have the time to join our full-time TEFL Course!

Nonetheless, if you have teaching experience already (however desperately in need you may be of professional training and a valid paper qualification), you should be able, if diligent, to study part-time at our Bangkok Academy in order to enjoy classroom interactivity, the comradeship of your fellow trainees, and the continuous access you will have to the wisdom and experience of your helpful trainer – rather than at home.

You actually can complete your full course in just 12 weeks by studying Sundays only, or in 8 weeks if you also study two hours in the evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Upon indicating to us your intention to study and your schedule of preference (along with a refundable course fee deposit), we will open the course just as soon as we have at least three trainees for that study period. If a class does not open within a reasonable period of time, we will, of course, refund your deposit to you, though for that reason only.

Here are the rules and procedures. The Bangkok Part-time TEFL Course requires that you be currently employed full-time as an EFL/ESL teacher, and have at least six months of EFL/ESL teaching experience – or else apply for and receive an exemption from our Academy Director if there are mitigating circumstances.

Your study includes the six course books (7 modules altogether) a Pronunciation CD, and a handsome carrying bag. After successfully completing all homework assignments and the Course Module Exams, you may then, in the time available to you, teach real EFL students at a school (our own, generally, or yours) for up to six hours under the observation of trained teachers who will rate your performance. Finally, you will need to schedule a date for the written Final Exam, which you will take in the presence of an examiner.

After completing all of this, your teaching performance ratings and your Course Final Exam and other performance scores will be compiled into a final course grade and printed onto our usual Thailand Ministry of Education numbered certificate form and signed by our Academy Director, our Principal, and your Course trainer. To join our course, you must submit enrollment information and a payment form. All fees are expressed in U.S. Dollars. The base fee for the Bangkok Part-time TEFL Course is $759.00 (25,000 Thai baht) plus $75.00 (2,500 baht) for course materials and end-of-course documents.

Your full enrollment fee, therefore, is $834.00 ($759.00 base course fee + $75.00: the equivalent of 27,500 baht complete, for materials and end-of-course documents). Two or even three installments may be arranged (if necessary only) through an agreement with our Academy Director.
